Day 1
Arrival at the village of Scheggino, located in the heart of the Valnerina, the valley of the Nera river that stretches from the Sibillini Mountains to the Tiber, and accommodation at the Hotel Diffuso. Free time to relax in the solarium or in the suggestive swimming pool built inside the fortress. Welcome dinner at the hamlet and overnight stay.
2nd day
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the Fonti del Clitunno, a lake formed by the crystal-clear waters of the river Clitunno showing incredible emerald reflections, which inspired poets such as Properzio, Plinio, Virgilio, Byron and Carducci. Possibility to visit the Tempietto del Clitunno, one of the most interesting early medieval monuments in Umbria built on pre-existing Roman structures, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continuation to the centre of Spoleto and meeting with the guide for a guided tour of the city: Duomo, Rocca Albornoziana overlooking the city and Ponte delle Torri. Return to hotel and overnight stay.
3rd day
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Marmore Falls. Entrance to the Waterfall Park, for a Soft Trekking route along the paths that allow one to admire the majestic leap from different angles. Continue to Lake Piediluco for lunch overlooking the lake. Boat tour lasting about 45 minutes with photo stops. Return to hotel and overnight stay.
Day 4
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Assisi. Meeting with the guide and start of the guided tour. Visit to the Upper and Lower Basilicas of St Francis, containing Giotto's famous cycle of frescoes. In the afternoon, free time.
