Monastery of the Poor Clares

The Poor Clares Monastery is situated in a historical Castle, the origins of which go back to the high middle ages and the history of which is tightly knit with that of the nearby Farfa Abbey. Nuns from different regions of Italy and from different nations around the world together form a sisterhood of religious and evangelical souls, living in solitude and penance, and totally dedicated to the loving and tender contemplation of God, following in the footsteps of Saints Clare and Francis of Assisi. Their lives announce the works of love, goodness and beauty that God the Father accomplishes through His Son Jesus in the working of the Holy Spirit.
