Created by decree of the Cardinal Vicar Marchetti Selvaggiani in 1934, almost 80 years after the first apparition of Our Lady in Lourdes. The main objective was to offer assistance to those who wished to visit the main Shrines in Italy and around the world. Then towards the end of the Second World War, O.R.P. began to perfect it's pastoral approach to accompanying pilgrimages. We have been accompanying thousands of pilgrims for years to Christianity's most significant places, offering an attentive spiritual assistance for each individual pilgrim. Our mission is hospitality: everyone is welcome and is invited to discover together with us the Merciful Face of God. The pilgrimage experience brings us to meet people, communities and religions. At times we share faith and culture with those we meet, at times we simply share our humanity, our identity as God's creatures. In every pilgrimage we discover new roads that lead us to an experience of our interior life, of prayer, of dialogue and of communal sharing.
